Tim Poitras - Treasurer

Tim grew up in Limestone and is a graduate of Limestone High School.  Throughout high school he spent a great deal of time working in and learning his family’s business. After high school he attended the University of Maine at Orono where he received his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with concentrations in Management and Finance.  After graduation he returned to the County and resumed working in his family’s business.

In 2001 Tim completed his bachelor’s in accounting at Husson college.  Shortly after receiving this degree he began working for Chester M. Kearney CPA as a staff accountant and is currently a senior accountant responsible for audits and taxation.

Tim currently is involved in several community organizations including Presque Isle Rotary, Masons, and Shrine.  He is also a member of the Northern Maine Empowerment Council.  He currently lives in Caribou with his wife Jennifer and two children Brennan and Colin.

Tim joined Momentum Aroostook to see a strong network of young professionals grow and to provide additional opportunities in the county for himself and his children.  Served as chair of Momentum for 2009.
