Scott Violette - Chair

Scott Violette was born in Presque Isle Maine and graduated from Presque Isle High School in  1992. He then went on the University of Southern Maine and graduated with a history degree with a minor in political science in 1996.

Scott moved back to Presque Isle in 2007 after working as a store manager for Circuit City throughout Maine and New Hampshire since 1998. He now works for Barresi Financial Inc. as a financial representative where he assists clients with investment, retirement, and insurance needs. He earned his Certified Financial Planner designation in 2010. Scott is active in the community and in addition to being a steering committee member of Momentum Aroostook, he is also on the board of the Wintergreen Art Center, the Presque Isle Downtown Revitalization Committee, and the Presque Isle Rotary Club. He also serves on the Presque Isle Strategic Planning Committee.

Scott lives with his wife Gretchen who he married in 2003 and his daughter Zoey who was born in 2006. He enjoys a variety of sports especially basketball, golf, skiing, and flag football. He also enjoys hiking and traveling and spending time with his family. Favorite leisure activities are watching Red Sox and Patriots, reading, movies, and a number of TV shows. He sees Momentum Aroostook as a great way to meet other like minded people and to expand his network of friends and activities.
