Kari Wells Puckett - Co-Chair

Originally from Aroostook County, Kari was born in Caribou and raised in Presque Isle. Upon graduation from Presque Isle High School, Kari attended Mercyhurst College in Erie, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Mercyhurst with a degree in Political Science.
The Flagship Niagara League, a non-profit organization acting in support of the Erie Maritime Museum, hired her upon graduation to organize and direct the education department during the Museum’s search for a museum educator. She remained in that capacity for over a year. Kari returned to Maine in 2000, moving to Bangor. She was employed at the University of Maine Alumni Association as a Reunion Giving Officer, fundraising for the University through its reunion classes. It was at this time that she began her course work on her Master’s Degree in history at the University of Maine. In 2004, she was promoted to Major Gift Officer at the University of Maine Development Office, raising major gifts for the University. She then moved to Augusta, Maine and attended the University of Maine School of Law in Portland and was awarded her Juris Doctor in May 2009. Kari is currently an associate attorney at Bemis & Rossignol, LLC in Presque Isle. She serves on the Presque Isle Zoning Board of Appeals and the Aroostook County Fund and is a member of Kiwanis.
Kari lives in Presque Isle with her husband, Martin Puckett and daughter, Sabine. She loves to travel, hike, kayak, read, and spend time with family and friends. Kari believes Momentum Aroostook serves an important function by being an organization through which young professionals in the community can meet, socialize, and exchange ideas.
