Kelly Grumprecht

Kelly was born in Presque Isle, ME, and grew up on a family potato farm in the small town of Wade.  She has a deep seeded kindheartedness and has always been involved with the community.  From 4-H to high school basketball to co-founding and running a local non-profit for grieving children, Kelly spends much of her spare time devoted to others.

She is employed by EMHS at The Aroostook Medical Center as a Senior Information Data Analyst/ Information Systems Security Officer.  For the past 13 years she has enjoyed working with the staff at TAMC, meeting patients and working to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of the data infrastructure and electronic patient health information.

In 2008, Kelly and her family embarked on a new journey as they worked together to develop Ryan’s Heart, a non-profit for grieving families.  Today, the non-profit provides over a hundred grief support backpacks for children Hospice of Aroostook annually.  The backpacks provide the children the beginning tools they need as they begin to cope with grief after the loss of a loved one.  In the summer of 2010, the organization also launched, Neighborhood Hearts - a 10-week grief support group for children and teens of Aroostook County. The organization continues to grow and hopes to soon offer scholarships to local graduating teens.

Her farming roots have provided her with a love of the land and a natural wholesomeness.  She enjoys flower gardening, outdoor activities, reading and loves to put her talent to work in the kitchen, where you’ll often find her trying out the latest recipe.  However, Kelly’s first and foremost love is her family.  She and her husband Tony, along with their four beautiful children, Nick, Paige, Andrew & Kasey, enjoy spending lazy summer days at camp, making early morning campfire pancakes and going to dozens of sporting and school events.  Kelly and her family, and their St. Bernard dog, Tank, reside in Presque Isle, ME.

Kelly hopes that by joining Momentum Aroostook she can help to build new opportunities for Aroostook County’s young professionals and their families.
